The Cultural Council of Victoria, (CCV) was formed in 1978 to encourage, support and develop diverse cultural and artistic enrichment for the Victoria community.
Since it began, the Council has worked to provide public information and services, community outreach, arts in education and youth arts. In doing so, this organization addresses areas of community need not served by other groups or agencies.
How We Do It
The Council is partially funded through hotel/motel tax revenues. Other soures of income include corporate and individual gifts, program revenues, and local, state and foundation grants.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
CULTURAL COUNCIL OF VICTORIA - VICTORIA, TEXAS
The Cultural Council of Victoria (CCV) is currently seeking applications for the Executive Director position. CCV was formed in 1978 to encourage, support and develop diverse cultural and artistic enrichment for the Victoria community. CCV has worked to provide public information and services, community outreach, arts in education and youth arts. The Council is partially funded through hotel/motel sales tax revenues. Other sources of income include corporate and individual gifts, program revenues, and local, state, and foundation grants.
The Executive Director is responsible for organization, direction, and administration of the Council to include the policies, programs and services. This position completes the directives of the CCV Board of Directors to implement the Council’s mission statement and long-range plans.
Tasks include management of organizational planning, fiscal and operational responsibilities. Additionally s/he cultivates community outreach by serving as a liaison and spokesperson for the Council with the city, community, affiliate organizations and school officials. Daily management and implementation of the Council’s services are completed with much independence under the guise of the board of directors.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS OF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO INCLUDE:
o Broad experience, interest and support of the arts
o Significant knowledge of non-profit, tax-exempt 501 C (3) organizations and best practices
o Minimum 5 years experience in non-profit leadership and administration
o Strong speaking, writing and presentation skills
o Computer literacy in Word, Excel and web-based programs but not limited to said programs
o Bachelor’s degree in arts or business administration or equivalent work experience
HOURS AND COMPENSATION:
Competitive salary and full-time position that will require physical office abilities and limited travel.
